This is the story of a one-of-a-kind lightbulb. One that hosts a tiny, minimalist, self-sustainable ecosystem. One that celebrates the balance between nature and the work of mankind. One that, not only inspired our name, but a whole plant & design project. We named it WildBulb.
WildBulb was born in the summer of 2018 out of fascination for the living world, science and design. It's a terrarium with a minimalist approach containing elements of concrete which celebrates the interaction between nature and culture.
The founder Kevin is also an enthusiastic gardener that got his inspiration not only from botanical gardens and hikes, but also music and open worlds in video games (yes, really). He then partnered with a graphic designer named Qouet and both created a singular terrarium project. We both create our ecosystems at home in North London, grow our own plants, stamp our own packaging and re-use old corks from wine bottles that we then convert into lids.
WildBulbs invite any curious human being to dive into its tiny living world, and hopefully inspire a few of us in the process!
